Role Summary

We are seeking a Senior Workday Integration Developer with strong hands-on experience in designing, building, and supporting complex integrations within the Workday ecosystem.

This role is ideal for a professional who combines deep technical expertise with functional understanding of HR processes, capable of delivering scalable, secure, and high-performance integrations in a global environment.

The successful candidate will play a key role in end-to-end integration delivery, from design and development to deployment and support, working closely with business stakeholders, Business Analysts, and QA teams.


Key Responsibilities

Integration Development & Technical Delivery

  • Design, build, and maintain Workday integrations end-to-end
  • Develop solutions using: Workday Studio Core Connectors (PECI, WECI, PICOF) EIB (inbound/outbound) Document Transformation (DT) and XSLT
  • Workday Studio

  • Develop and maintain file-based integrations (SFTP, PGP encryption/signing)
  • Work with REST/SOAP APIs for system integrations
  • Build and optimize Advanced Reports, RaaS, and Calculated Fields
  • Ensure integrations meet performance, scalability, and SLA requirements

Integration Architecture & Design

  • Analyze business and functional requirements and translate them into technical integration solutions
  • Design robust and reusable integration patterns
  • Ensure alignment with Workday integration frameworks and best practices
  • Define data mappings, transformations, and validation rules
  • Ensure secure data exchange using: OAuth2 ISU / ISSG Encryption standards

Support, Monitoring & Optimization

  • Monitor integrations and ensure high availability and reliability
  • Troubleshoot incidents and perform root cause analysis
  • Optimize integration performance and reduce processing failures
  • Maintain versioning, documentation, and governance standards

Testing & Deployment

  • Support and execute: Unit testing Integration testing UAT support
  • Unit testing

  • Validate data accuracy and transformation logic
  • Participate in deployment activities and post-go-live stabilization

Collaboration & Stakeholder Interaction

  • Work closely with: Business Analysts (requirements alignment) HR stakeholders (functional validation) QA teams (testing cycles)

  • Act as a technical reference for integrations
  • Provide clear communication on technical constraints and solutions

  • Backend development (Node.js, Python)
  • Databases: Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB
  • Experience with payroll vendors integrations (ADP, Alight, etc.)

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong experience in Workday integration development
  • Solid understanding of integration patterns and data transformation
  • Ability to work in complex global environments
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
  • Experience with Agile and hybrid SDLC models
  • Excellent communication skills (technical and functional)

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • 5+ years of Workday integration experience
  • Proven hands-on experience with: Workday Studio Core Connectors XSLT and transformations

  • Experience with global implementations (US, LATAM, EMEA) is a strong plus
